This site has been designed as part and parcel of Systems Integration Assigment 2 . The site looks into the world of networks and networking in a simple manner. The idea here is to convey the concepts of networks and networking to the average person who does not know much about networks but would like to get to understand the subject matter without too much technicality. I have provided links which have more detailed information regarding each area and this can be found by clicking on Further Reading. The site looks into the areas of Network Topology, Network protocols, devices which are used in networking and explaining what a network actually is and what it does. There are areas which we have not covered due to the huge subject area of Networks and Networking, such as IP addressing, Firewalls, Security but I have provided links where you can find out further for yourself (that is if you are interested in gaining more information on networking). The site is best viewed in 1024x768 and is compatible with bothe Netscape 4+ and Internet Explorer 4+. The site also makes uses of Macromedia flash. Please make sure your browser has activex enabled in order for flash to download and preview on your browser. For Windows XP Service Pack 2 users please enable pop ups from this site. The graphics produced in this site were designed by using Microsoft Visio and Macromedia Flash. All references are clearly indicated by the associated numbers. The numbers correspond to the numbers found in the Reference page. Thank You and I hope you enjoy the site. Amin Rahman
