Alé Douvan has survived thus far with the help of many volunteers over the years and more recently has been receiving some limited funding. During the early years of Alé Douvan, the project incorporated a language project that dealt with the Kwéyol language of the eastern Caribbean. This is a project that Alé Douvan is interested in re-establishing in the future. The organisation is always keen to speak with interested volunteers with arts skills, who want the opportunity to learn more about African and Caribbean dance. As a priority Alé Douvan are seeking the funding to pay a full time arts administrator, this will allow the organisation to expand their repertoire further. |
