The Dance Group: Compromised of young people and adults from West Africa and the eastern Caribbean who come together regularly for rehearsals consisting of traditional, social and contemporary dances of African and Caribbean origin. Audiences are usually encouraged to participate in the dancing at the end of a performance, merging performance and audience into one. The Dance group has become well established within Tower Hamlets often being asked to perform again and again at events in the borough.

Performances

Children and often adults perform together in full traditional dress to the accompaniment of live drumming.The energy of the performances and the transference of this energy into the audience has resulted in Alé Douvan dance group being invited back for repeated performances at many local events.
