Academic
Graduated in 1981 from Nottingham University.
13 years in military avionics R&D.
4 years teaching at Southend College. Obtained PGCE.
3 years researching, obtained PhD - camera controlled mobile robot.
Since then teaching various undergraduate & postgraduate degree
topics.
Continuing research as and when time permits.
Leisure
Hillwalking, I have walked the Lyke Wake Walk twice, many of the
long-distance footpaths in England & Wales, the 3-(UK)-peak challenge twice: photography, gardening.
Other
I am a Christian.
I have learned the rudiments of Greek, to help with the understanding of
the New Testament
As we had some Chinese students I learned some Mandarin and Pinyin.
