Kevin Duffy's Home Page

Welcome to my homepage. I joined UEL in 1996 as the

Quality Assurance Officer in the Faculty of Science & Health.

My interests include cooking, cycling, environmental values, law, rather severe haircuts and breathing in and out. John Mottley, a colleague at UEL, used to say that "the trick is to keep breathing". I tend to agree with him, so I have just stopped smoking cigarettes.

The following links I find quite useful/entertaining:

Department of Environmental Sciences at UEL

David Humber Head of Department of Life Sciences {and Dean of Faculty}

John Rostron Teacher / Researcher in Environmental Sciences at UEL

The Onion on-line newspaper /magazine with a humorous perspective

Before you leave consider what Karl Popper said:

"I believe that it would be worth trying to learn something about the world even if in trying to do so we should merely learn that we do not know much. This state of learned ignorance might be a help in many of our troubles. It might be well for all of us to remember that, while differing widely in the various little bits that we know, in our infinite ignorance we are all equal"
