DETR The British Government's department of Environment Transport and the Regions responsible among many other things for urban regeneration policy in England. Holds information about current policy, statistics and funding regimes.

The Home Office has responsibliity for volunteering, family support and developing active community involvement. This site has much useful information and key policy documents

Social Exclusion Unit Set up by the New Labour Government the SEU has the remit to tackle key issues of social exclusion such as homelessness, truancy and school exclusion and neighbourhood renewal, using "joined up" thinking. The reports of 18 Policy Action Teams are now available.
