by way of a manifesto:
we play eclectic grooves in a space that embraces the art of conversation and the splendour of uninhibited dancing. our inspirations are too numerous to list in full - and often change daily - but hey, we like lists, so here's a few individuals who've impressed us: larry levan and paul gilroy (for both recognising that it's not about boundaries), holly woodlawn(for always having fun and being effortlessly stylish on a shoe string budget - label obsessives take note), ziggy (well, for being ziggy), marianne faithfull (for surviving), derek raymond (has anyone else captured the darkness of london so effectively?) and finally oscar, to whom we owe a debt for reminding us that it's important not to be forever earnest. we also think johnny knoxville deserves a special mention - however would we cope without some release via meaningless, jackass activities ?

oh, and in case all this makes us sound like pretentious navel-gazers, we'd like to quote the unique talent that is jarvis cocker who, when talking about his own djing ventures, sums up our philosophy a damn sight more succinctly than we've managed to: "i think we're quite bothered about whether people dance or not. you have to play stuff you like but the point of it is, you want people to have a good time. hopefully they'll hear some stuff they've never heard before...".
